Write On: 31 Week Blog Challenge | Week Two: Skincare Routine

 

I’ve tried numerous skincare lines and I would plateau in results after about 3 months of use.  Moving from line to line can be quite expensive and not to mention frustrating as the products build up.  Still to this day, I still haven’t found a product that I’m completely in love with, nor do I stick to a steady routine. It varies from day to day.

Here’s A Look into a “Normal” Routine:

AM:
-Cleanse: Foaming Gel
-Toner
-Hydraulic Serum or Vitamin C Serum 15%
-Eye Gel
-Moisturizer

PM:
-Cleanse: Foaming Gel
-Toner
-Hydraulic Serum or Vitamin C Serum 15%
-Eye Gel
-Moisturizer

Now where it varies for me is sometimes I’m running late in the morning or I just really don’t want to take the time to go through all those steps, I just put either Rosehip Oil or Argan Oil on my face after the cleansing and be done with it.

EXTRAS:

Sometimes, I like to use a little extra. Like a sheet mask. Or spot treatment. It just depends on what my skin needs at the time:

To hydrate: I like to use a sheet mask once or twice a week to give my skin some extra hydration and radiance. I don’t have a favourite, though.

To moisturize and soothe: When my skin feels a bit dry, I’ll also use a facial oil.

To absorb excess oil: My skin has been behaving recently, but I still try to use a clay mask at least once a week, sometimes every two weeks.
